Buttermilk falls park is just off the I-76 along Route 18, Pennsylvania Turnpike. As you enter there is a small parking area. From here we started walking towards the water falls. The path to waterfalls is easy to tread but is not wheelchair accessible. The falls is located in stone quarry of Homewood. There are a few steps to climb on the way. The walk to the waterfalls is easy and a short one.

The massive sandstone boulders really pulls the whole park together. As you reach the water falls which stands at 46 ft, you will know why it is called "buttermilk". The swimming hole is probably enjoyable for kids during late spring/ early summers. But as we had gone during early spring, it was biting cold! The rocks surrounding the falls has become a graffiti board to many. Its sad that in this digital era some people still want to go back to stone age!

There is a rail road running parallel at the top of the waterfalls and occasionally you can see and hear a train pass by, which we personally loved.

Overall it is a clean and well kept park. Head over there for a relaxing afternoon, it is definitely worth a try.
